A research summary of public ADU rules for your address.
Enter an address in Riverside, Fontana, Temecula, Moreno Valley, Upland, or unincorporated Riverside County. The summary lists parcel facts, state and city rules on file, a rough cost range, and next steps.
This is a free informational summary. It is not a permit and it is not legal, architectural, engineering, or contractor advice. mycaliforniaadu.com is not affiliated with any government agency.
Sample addresses
These work in the offline demo if the county feed is unreachable.
How a summary is made
- 1
You enter a street address.
- 2
The app asks the U.S. Census geocoder for a map point, then a free county parcel feed for the lot and zoning label.
- 3
Rules stored in this project — each one dated and sourced — are matched to that place. You get the summary on screen and an email copy.
What the summary includes
- Parcel facts from the county feed, or a clear note when a figure was not returned.
- State ADU rules from Government Code section 66314 and the HCD ADU Handbook, plus the city rules on file.
- City-published plan sets, where a city offers them. Upland plan sets are matched only when side and rear clearance is at least 5 feet, and this version does not measure that clearance.
- A rough cost range with the source named. Actual cost may be higher or lower.
- Next steps that start with contacting the city or county.
What this summary does not do
- It does not measure easements, HOA rules, septic tanks, hillsides, or historic status.
- It does not tell you that a permit will be issued.
- It does not replace the city, the county, or a licensed designer or contractor.
